YES! But I actually like them, most of the time. It's like going to the movies for free, only MY dreams are scarier and more fun! I know that I'm dreaming, usually, but there is the occasional one where you wake up soaked in sweat and can't breathe!
My dreams are usually about driving a car off one of those overpass highrise hiway thingies and waking up while still in the air...or tornadoes, lots of those dreams, and they seem so real! Another is walking inside a dilapidated house with no floor except right around the edges of a room upstairs, and everything is in sepia tone. Areal scary one when I was little was going to the bathroom and having T Rex look in the bathroom window at me! LOL! I could write a scary book of all the dreams I've had! Trouble is no one would buy it . =P

I get them almost every night and I'm not scared of them.
Just last night I dreamed that I was on a ship and an airplane plowed through the stern and pretty much split the ship in half. I helped a bunch of people into the lifeboats and then the ship capsized and i had to swim out from under it.
Another time I dreamed I was a roman gladiator in the Coliseum. I had a shortsword and a buckler and I battled a really big guy who used a warhammer. I lost the fight and I distinctly remember laying on the ground in the Coliseum covered with blood and sand. The guy with the hammer had his foot on my face and was just about to smash his hammer into by back. I was panting really hard but it was hard to breathe because my mouth was filled with sand. Then I realized it was only a dream. I was still panting and I had my pillow in my mouth. Then I woke up.
That one was particularly scary because I was so freakishly vivid, it almost scared me.
About a week ago I dreamed that I escaped from some sort of jail thing and then ran across the entire country trying to evade the noobs who had jailed me in the first place. That one was more intense than scary, though.
there was something particularly weird about this one, though. In my dreams I'm often this guy named David who's pretty much just a male version of myself. He's kind of my dream alter ego.
so in this dream it was David who had been jailed and then escaped but then it was my real self who was running from the bad guys.

I rarely have scary dreams because I never watch scary movies. They pollute the mind and make you think of things that aren't there.
But a couple of weeks ago, I dreamt that I was in my house, and someone rang the doorbell. I opened it, and waiting there was Mohammed Atta, one of the hijackers of 9/11. I was scared shitless, and then he slowly pulled out a large hunting knife in a threatening manner. I was like "I'm gonna die" but then my logical brain kicked in. I subliminally started thinking "Wait a minute, he's supposed to be dead. He died on 9/11; there's no way he can be alive!" That rationale forced me to wake up, which I did. Talk about weird, huh?

When he sits on the bed it wakes me up and its dark and I cant see if anyone is really there or not.... I now have my dog sleep on the end of the bed with me and I dont get so scared...

I have nightmares 3-5 times a week. In the majority of them I die, and usually by murder. They are all pretty scary.

The scariest I can remember is when I was a kid. I would be out in the open prairie land and surrounded by wild fires with no escape. There were no people around to rescue me.
