Well they'll need water, some kind of shelter and a source of energy. Fortunately there's frozen water at the martian poles so life on mars wouldn't be impossibe. The humans would have to grow their own food (indoors) to survive. Solar, wind (martian wind that is) or nuclear power could be used for their energy needs.

You should be able to make up the rest. Use your imagination - there are no wrong answers to this question.

Research the Planet Mars, then think about the environment on the surface there and the environment mankind needs to sustain life. What are the differences? How would you provide for human needs on Mars. Then of course, how would you get there, and what has happened on Planet Earth to make, (50 words), this trip necessary? Just laying that out as a frame work is now over 60 words, get the idea? (68 words+). Just put two or more words where you would have put one before. (81+ words) Then throw in a few facts, science based opinion, and a bit of imagination and you soon break the back of it.(100+words, less than 8 minutes work)

well first they would need a good stable habitat to live in, i would recommend a monolithic dome as a good sturdy example of a future mars habitat, they would need water and if they are lucky they might just find some sub surface perma-frost that could be used as a water source. as for heat the monolithic domes they hardly ever lose heat and are the logical choice i believe.

Read about private entrepreneurs proposals to make space exploration profitable. Because NASA will never figure out how to make space flight pay for itself and thus make colonization sustainable.
