Many AWD vehicles don't drive all 4 wheels the same.
Subaru is 90% front and 10% rear unless the fronts slip, then more is sent to the rear.

AWD means all wheel drive, however, only one wheel on the front and one on the back is pulling at a time, if your car senses traction problem it changes to the other side, all wheel drive...
unless you have AWD with sure grip or posi-traction.

all wheel drive means that it has all wheel drive, as opposed to front wheel drive or rear wheel drive, or even 4wd. The difference is that awd is full time while 4wd is engagable (most 4x4 trucks will have a 2wd setting also)

it means all wheel drive which means when you push the gas all four tires spin instead of just the front or back two
