One thing I've noticed is this: if you are a woman asking a question in the women's studies section and it is an intelligent question not pertaining to sex, people will most likely not like the question being asked. Why?
#1: It doesn't go with what they consider "relevant".
#2: intelligent questions pose too much of a threat because it could be pushing a "feminist agenda".
They like questions they can answer, easy questions like the ones they can find in Maxim, Cosmo, FHM, Seventeen, People, Esquire, Glamour, Playboy. Not only do they enjoy answering those types of questions, they love asking those types of questions as well.
Anything out of the realm of "pop" culture (in their thinking and views) might as well be the most obscure thing out there. Not only that, but if the question doesn't have to do with "what make women and men different" and "are there any single girls in here from ohio" or "how has feminism failed", then I'm sorry to say it, but we might as well be from another planet located in another solar system.
Welcome to the backlash.
This doesn't mean your questions are irrelevant. It doens't mean your ideas are irrelevant.
It just means that asking an intelligent question on here might be looked at with criticism and cynismism instead of optimism and encouragment.
But keep asking those questions that are relevant to you. Because there are people here that find those types of questions relevant also.
:)

I know I didn't give you a thumbs down for any of your questions. In fact I don't know any of the questions you've asked other than this one.
Don't get discouraged, there are no wrong questions if asked with a sincere desire to know the truth. :-)

I just looked at your past questions and they were good! As stated above, they were intelligent. I hate when stupid guys come in that section and write stupid sex questions. its annoying and immature.
thumbs up to you!
