Gosh. Been years since I used turbo ( back in my T basic days), but as I recall, borland was the earlier verson and turbo had better macro handling and hence got the turbo nick name.

turbo and borland is only a compiler brand. The only differences is the bugs they might have, and the way they optimize the compiled code at the end.
