There are 10s of thousands of nuclear weapons in the USA alone.

With regard to nuclear weapons, I think the best solution is to outlaw breeder reactors worldwide, (nuclear power plants that produce more fuel than they use). These give a country an excess of plutonium with which to make nuclear explosives. Solar power plants and hydroelectric dams can easily more than provide all electrical power needs for any nation except those in the extreme north or south. And there is no polution or radiation.

With regards to chemical and biological, that is a tuff one. What about napalm, and white phosphor bombs?
What about small bombs, medium sized and large bombs and missles, and artillary? What about landmines, sea mines?

I think it boils down to, we need to stop war. I have an idea to stop war. When 2 countries can't agree and want to go to war, the leaders of the 2 countries, have to wear identical bright red outfits, and clown masks, so they cannot be distinguished from each other. They get into the center of a circle of 100 marksmen from each country. On the count of 3, all the marksmen fire at the opposing leader. The leader who is killed last wins the dispute.

This way, no innocent people are killed, no children are killed. And no nuclear, chemical or biological weapons are needed.

1)Become aware exactly which nations have WMDs and refuse to buy any of their products until the WMDs are destroyed.
If the concerned citizens of the world did this, and encouraged their friends and aquaintances to do the same, the stifling of business would soon cause a rethink
2)Refuse to vote for any candidate who does not agree that if elected, his first priority will be to destroy all WMDs.
3)If you work in a factory producing WMDs, get a new job.

A free trade area that only accepts nations who can prove they don't have WMDs, and to join they have to get rid of them. Money is the best catalyst.
