I waited until 12 weeks or start of 2nd trimester, by then your risk of miscarriage is considerably lower and things tend to be more predictable. Really just depends on your situation and the relationship you have with your supervisor.

My supervisor is a friend, and with all the women I work with... I didn't really have to tell them. LOL. When I became suspicious that I was pregnant they were all rooting me on... I just had to confirm it with them after I found out the "official" results from the Dr!! They were wonderful and my boss is also very concerned and always asks how it's going. As for weeks... um... it was around 8 weeks I guess. Not 100% sure :)

I waited until I was out of my 1st trimester before I said anything . . . that way IF something happens (miscarriage, etc.), you won't have to go back and say "by the way, never mind" you know . . . but it's what works for you . . if you're having bad morning sickness, you might want to go ahead and say something . . . or if you work around harmful chemicals, you should say something right away . . .

i found out at week four...so i told probably around week eight. why so late? i wanted to tell my mom first before anybody else. and did my work reacted? well...there were like four other pregnant girls in department, so my supervisor wasn't so shocked. lol.

7 I told him as soon as I found out, because I work with chemicals and I had to avoid some of those to keep my unborn child healthy.
If all depends on when you tell him/her, depending on the type of work and whatnot.

my father told mine as soon as we found out because I was on a line that had a LOT of lifting and that could be dangerous in your first trimester.

my friend told her employer right away, but he is a friend, so he didn't react baddly,just more shocked than anything..
