(For clarification to others, the question is regarding the constitution of India).
Hi bhartiya backs,
First of all, I appreciate the concern with which you have asked the question. Gives us all a chance to think about our constitution. I suggest following :
1. Common laws for Hindus, Muslims, Christians and other religious practitioners. Common laws are not practised now.
2. Attempt to bring equality among people through proper ways. We should try to find out if there is any other possible and better way than reservations to bring equality among people.
3. Proper implementation of the policies.
4. Harder punishments for corruption. Death punishments for anti-state activities.
5. Attempts to make Indian agriculture competent with MNC business firms like Pepsi and Coca Cola.
6. CEOs for megacities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Madras, Hyderabad, Bangalore. We don't need these cities to go into politicians' hands. IIM graduates, and IIT engineers should build and manage these cities.
That's all for now.

YES we must change the constitution
There are some points which i have thought of:
1. There shld be equality in true sense ,i.e. reservation in education shldnt b there . They talk of being secular n indiscriminant to caste n creed n then bring in laws where people of some caste are given admissions on the basis of their caste n not merit. This is sheer nonsense!!! we shld change this if at all we want India to porgress.
2. Corruption shld be stirctly punished . The person found guilty shld b thrown out of the country.
3. The law making shld b given to young officers rather than old n corrupt politicians.
4. Agriculture shld b more encouraged n new developed techniques must b brought in practice. We shld not forget ours is an agrarian economy!!!
I am not getting any more right now ,but there is lot of work to be done by the new generation , coz only dreaming that our country will become a superpower by 2020 wont help!!
We shld start working on it.

I'm not sure what country you are in or what your constitution is But I advise using the American constitution as a good starting place. You might rethink the 14th amendment. It looks good at a glance but has some tricky wording that makes the citizens have to pay unreasonable taxes.

You must take care about using terms like "us" and "our" in your writing on Internet web sites. More Americans use the Internet than do people from any other single country, but Americans now are a minority of total users. Americans would be wise then to refrain from using 'us', etc. People from India do not even have to be wise to follow this policy, only informed.

Yes, we need to change our constitution. What was appropraite before 50 years, is not applicable, agreeable or reasoanble today.
We need to make many changes like,
1. To promote socialism - Social equality :
Present method of reservations based on religion, caste or creed are to be cancelled and if necessary, need to be replaced with reservation on basis of economic status.
[ Reservations are supposed to encourage the economically backward people, not to favour a particular caste ]
2. To promote Secularism - Religious equality :
People of all the religions should have same laws and same legal procedure should be in practise.
[ Ours is a secular country, where all religions are equal, then why not have the same law and rules ]
3. To Prmote Democracy :
(i) The political leaders of high positions should have some educational qualifications.
(ii) Any person having a illegal background or cases against him shouldn't be given a seat strictly.
(iii) Defence and Police forces should work independently and not be inflenced by political powers.
(iv) Corruption has to be dealt very strictly. Serious punishments should be given to the people involved, like immediate suspension from job and severe imprisonment etc.
(v) Anti social activities and Crime should be severely condemned and people involved in them should be executed strictly.
(vi) Politicians involved in Scams and cheating cases should not be given a chance to nominate again.
To promote devolopment :
(i) Economic and financial plans should be prepared by scholars and professionals.
(ii) All the plans, bills and acts should go through precise examination by a panel of academicians or experts in the field and they should have the right to approve or cancel the proposals.
(iii) Education, Health, proper facilities should be made available to all by thorough checking of government offices and their works.
(iv) Any irresponsibility or illegal activity should be seriously dealt with.
(v) Proper plans, policies and budget should be implemented to improve agriculture, trade and commerce.
(vi) All sectors should be given proper attention and should be headed and guided by experts and knowledgable people in that field, counter checked by strict officers to prevent any fraud or neglegency.
........ thats all, i could remember for now ! At time, i get thoughts about many other issues too ! If time permits, I would add some of them. Good Luck. bye
