If you use wap to download themes or any kind of data, you will get charged for each KB download.
The is another way to download themes to your phone without any cost is download it from your PC via cable or infared or bluetooth.

I don't know for sure but if you've given these people your debit card or credit card number...chances are you are getting charged for it. They'd only want your card number for one reason, and that's to charge you.
