Statistically it IS more dangerous. You are 50 times more time likely to die of murder in South Africa than Europe.

I think they call it more dangerous because of the numbers not because of racism.

1. It has nothing to do with "Blacks being in charge"! In fact did you know that the ANC - that's the ruling party in South Africa isn't all black? So how is it that the country is ruled by "blacks"?

2. Crime is just on the increase and government is trying to combat it.

3. In the apartheid times you could have been killed just because you were black and were in a mall.Guess who the culprits would be? The police.

4. There is no safe place on earth.

5. Do not believe everything you read.

Could it be that the only Blacks that are in a position of power are the corrupt puppet ones placed by the white minority that were in charge before? Anyway no where in that article did it blame the lawlessness on the color of the people in power. Statistic are statistics and they came from that government, not some fiction novel.

Look at any black run government, Atlanta, Cincinatti, Detroit, Washington DC, New Orleans, they are all dangerous. Im sorry but blacks have to idea how to run a government. The fact that polarized voting is on the rise in these areas where voters vote based on race instead of qualifications means this cycle will only repeat itself, look no farther than Ray Nagin getting re-elected in New Orleans for evidence of that.

No one calls the government dangerous. But the crime rate is staggering. I understand it has the highest rape rate in the world and I have no idea why. It's just damn sad that the government does not have the resources or will to stop it.

I would venture that the "danger" effects the local ppl. Most gov'ts are oppressive in one way or another, however, in less developed Nations, or less communicative counties, atrocities happen and no one knows about them.

On the world scale I wouldn't be overly concerned about it - not just yet!
