Yes to both questions. Just clean the wound and put some antibiotic cream on it and then a band-aid. Unless the cut is deep, then go the the doctor. You may require stitches.

yes, it is infected. Is it deep, how long did you have the infection? What did you cut yourself with? Ask your doctor over the phone if you need a tetanus shot? In the meantime clean it with soap and water and use oxigen peroxide or iodine from the pharmacy. You can show the cut to the pharmacist and he/she can give you best advice until you see your doc if you need to...

I think that would depend on what exactly is oozing! Is it a clear fluid, or yucky puss? Or is it blood? Basically if the skin around is red and feels quite warm to touch then most likely its infected. The redness could spread fast, if it does antibiotics will be needed. Your own body may clear this by itself though. Wait and see the changes and respond if needed.

Apply a band-aid

See a doctor if it takes a long time to heal or gets worse.

if the drainage is clear or slightly red/ pink its normal, if its thick yellowish or anything that resembles puss than yes it is infected use tripple antibiotic ointment 3 or 4 times a day.

If the cut is really bad (deep) go to the ER or doctor. If it's not put some neosporin (sp) on it asap.
