My space in my garden is limited. I want something that can be put away during the summer months.

I'm absolutely sure there is. I can't quite remember where I saw it. Make one yourself out of see through polythene . Seems like a simple enough task.

I was thinking of getting one to cover an electricity generator from snow, until I realised that running the engine provides sufficient electricity generation without the inconvenience and noise of a generator. (can anyone explain why people use electricity generators when they have a vehicle engine?)

YEP I am going to be getting one next year. They are made out of funny green stuff and they are built up just like a kid's wendy house. In many ways they are better than the traditional "glass and aluminium" ones, especially if your neighbours play fotball ( as mine do)

You get them in Dobbie's Garden centre near Carnoustie, and so I suppose they are widely available everywhere.

Maybe....I haven't seen one. If you're handy, though, maybe you could make one. Seems to me that I've seen plans for either a greenhouse or a cold box in the book Tightwad Gazette by Amy Daczyn. There's a Tightwad Gazette group in Yahoo Groups under Finance. Maybe they could point you to some plans.
