Goto www.grisoft and get AVG. There is a free version and a paid version.
Stay away from Norton and mcafee as they are both resource hogs and will slow down your PC.
If you would like to scan your PC for spyware, goto www.ewido.net and use the free version to scan and remove.

Norton is good with virus, but some others like AVG are good with Trojans, so one might detect what the other had missed. But norton takes a lot of memory space and slow ur computer. Used Mc Afee and found it good. Most of my friends are using AVG without any problem.

There are so many antiviruses. I can't really say which are the best. I'm currently using McAfee. But I think Norton and McAfee are good.

McAfee is good.
but it is licensed.

I just got ZoneAlarm PRO and so far it is much better than McAfee coz it doesn't slow down your computer.

AvtiVir works very well....It automatically checks for updates daily and it is free!
