When a seizure occurs, some part of one's brain cells (neurons) spontaneously start firing. This can begin and stay in the same area of the brain or be spread to other parts as well, and in this case cause a generalised seizure. Clinically when this happens the epileptic person is not consience and will not remember anything. However it has been said that before the attack, one has some special sensory experiences, the so-called aura. This aura is different from person to person, and after sometime the epileptic person will recognise it. To tell if you have had a seizure or not, please consult with your doctor, or a neurologist. Most of the time they obtain an EEG to find whether the person had a fit or not.
I hope this helps.

See a doctor immediately and let them run a series of tests to determine what may have happened. The sooner you go the more they will be able to tell by a painless brain scan and simple blood tests. Never mind what it feels like or what you sense or feel; everyone is different and by telling whether you did not not is not something you can do... let the professionals help you have another if that was the case... it can happen while you're driving or in a situation where you may cause or get involved in an accident... don't risk you life and the lives of others.

It depends on the area of the brain involved. Lewis Carroll used to have seizures. He felt too small and sometimes, too big. That is how he put that in Alice in Wonderland. Get an EEG done. It records electric activity in different parts of the brain and can find a seizure focus, if present.

well there is an amount of time that is lost that I am aware of usually, as far as having petite mal seizures go, when I have had a grand mal seizure I usually wake up with having some one asking me what is my name and other dumb questions like who is our current president and do you know what the date is, all of which I usually have no answer because after I have just been unconscious and having huge muscle spasms when I regain consciousness I don't quite have my memory about me,and I usually am very tired and very weak afterwards and I wind up sleeping for about 8 to 10 hours after that and then I wake up and my mind is about me again, oh yeah and just for your own health and saftey just go see a neorologist
