I realize there's no quick and easy way, but I'm wondering if anyone has been able to get over listening to the tapes of their emotional abuser playing in their head all the time. And how do you trust someone else again??

You take time. You gain back your sense of self, You get help. I couldn't have done it alone, he really messed with my head, but it helps when you research the person who abused you and find out that he was only king in your relationship, the rest of his life is just a lie. Emotional abuse is worse the physical because the pain he inflicts on you isn't visible, there are no scars, just the echoing of his lectures in your head. But take my word for it, you do survive.

Emotional abuse may be verbal, yet verbal is generally emotional. Emotional abuse can comprise an abuser putting the abused in a difficulty to play on their thoughts; alongside with promising to look someplace then intentionally no longer showing up. specific words have been spoken, however the effect grow to be derived from the action. while verbal abuse may be call-calling, yelling, citing of subjects no longer needed etc.

Abuser's hate YOU being in the spotlight..

That'll expose them.,,,,,,
and they can't abuse then,,,,,,
so, asking questions here is a start..

They don't like others seeing them abuse.
so, if the abuse was around others then the others approved of or were unaware of the abuse
hm....

how do you trust?

yes, it is my question,
it is my belief as well.

I was surrounded by abusers
I thought the world was full of abusers and I was different.
I finally found out that I could choose to be around abuser or be around "something else"

so who or what do you choose to be around?
