anyone falling for this? surely they couldnt have justified supporting it 2 hundred years ago let alone 20 or so, and to try to distance themselves from it now. They are still the same tories, same social economic persuasion as they always were, with or without thatcher. What do you think?

It's as someone said a few weeks ago on television about Cameron. He seems to come out with these statements and look around to see who is supporting him before deciding whether he can get any electoral advantage from pursuing it. You are absolutely right the Tories have not changed but you certainly wont see that this side of an election. For those silly enough to consider voting for them I would research the social damage they done the last time and remind them that Thatcher did not believe in society (as a concept) but in the individual.Your average Tory supporter, under Thatcher, was voting for what they thought would profit them most. It was a party that promoted personal greed while turning a blind eye to personal need.

No more than an exercise in political expediency and using the useful idiot Mandela to capture a few more votes. If they get into power it will be interesting to see how they deal with the Communist dominated Government otherwise known as the African National Corrupt party. England's history about the colonial time are one of murder and raping that countries of their wealth so don't blame certain political groups blame every one for what they have done to countries like South Africa, Zambia,Zimbabwe, Eritrea,etc.It sickens me that even today that they will not help where they screwed up big time.. For example your favorite African leader Robert Mugabe.....Guess there are not enough oil for Tony and George so lets look the other way cos there are"" no humanright violations in a country that does'nt have oil to steel from

The British created apartheid - Verwoerd gave it a name. Not going to help the British political parties to have a mud fight about the topic.

The Tories always do that. Ditch a policy when it becomes socially unacceptable - that's why they ditched Maggie Thatcher.

Yes, and in another 20 years New Labour will be pretending it didn't turn a blind eye to the apartheid wall and ethnic-cleansing by the Israelis

south Africa, was a stable government with plenty for all no slaves or starving babies, but America and the Englsh Torries forced deklerk ? to give over power to Nelson Mandela, now everyone is starving and wanting out even the blacks, they want to come to America so they can get on the welfare roll, the south African gov, confiscated white farms and gave to the blacks who can't make them produce,
