im leaving for absic training sept 12 2006, and my wife has been in for about 2 and 1/2 yrs already, i was cool with her leave and didnt really stress the whole time she was gone except for when she had just left. she is really hurting about me leaving even though it is all for a good cause. im going army and she id air force but have 4 yrs left im going in for 6yrs. we have a 3yr old boy, there is no fact that we will be stationed at the same base, but i am dedicated to her, and its hard toknow where i will be but i want her head to be in the right place. we are both 23yrs old. been together since 16, got married at 18 had a baby at 20, and went to the same elemenatry, jr high and high school. i dont know what to do. i am going to take care of my family but try to understand my situation.

all i have to say is that go ahead and do what u must but i really think ur little boy might get lost in all of your military work. where are u gonna be when he needs u the most? away fighting or with him.

It's not like there's anything we can help..u just want somebody to listen to you. But 6 years does seem like a long time...is it really worth it to sacrifice the time with your family for military stuff? Well, if u think so..then good luck!

I sincerely hope the army will pay for you to get some education after you're discharged. What is your question, exactly? Try grandma. But you should have planned for this.
