Do what you and your fiance want. My husband and I were married by the mayor, we wanted to use our money on a down payment for a house and are glad we did.
My brother in law and his wife wanted a bigger wedding, she really wanted to get married in a church and have her day, she is happy she did.
Decide what is important to you.

The wedding is unimportant. What matter is the after wedding life. As long as you both are really adults, and love each other, go for it.

Affordable wedding. I don't believe that you should go into debt just because you are getting married. Either wait and save your money or have the wedding that you, your fiance, and family can afford.

Of course a big wedding would be nice..but remb..it's only for a day. I learned in school tht brides get depress after their weddign cause they've been so busy and they feel like they've been centre of attention. In tht case..u might want to keep it low profile. Wht m i talkin abt?

My advice is to do what makes YOU and your PARTNER happy.
This YOUR time.
Don't let society/family/religion dictate your ceremony.
BE SELFISH!!
