My current condition:
CPU: AMD 64 bit
OS: XP SP2 32 bit
I'm Installing Ubuntu on top of VMWare. Which one is better to install? 32 bit version, following the Host OS or the 64 bit version following the CPU? Why?

I don't install the 64 bit version cause I don't have XP 64 bit edition, and I'm already aware of the advantages I miss if I only install the XP32bit.

i don't know too much about that, but why u don't install windows 64 if available, because u didn't get any benefit form ur 64, its work as 32 cuz any software will follow the os not the cpu, in the same time u can not install 64 software on os32. maybe i'm wrong, ask another persons.
