I currently use Yahoo messenger but understand msn messenger is now integrated with yahoo........would I be better to close my yahoo messenger and use msn as it seems to get better ratings...and still chat to buddies etc on the yahoo chat?

I use both because I have friends on both kind of messengers. Even though now Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo! Messenger with voice are capable of instant messaging with both kind of e-mails, some of my friends don't want to download the latest messenger :)

I use both..
Yahoo for messages...its more reliable than MSN Live, on MSN some messages would take hours to arrive (sort of misses of the point of it being Instant messaging).
However, MSN voice chat is much better than Yahoo (I found that Yahoo disconnects after only a couple of minutes).
I prefer the web cam set up on Yahoo.

I have both. I use Yahoo only if I have to! The windows messenger that comes with xp is drab but the wlm that you download from msn is great

MSN is a great system. Personally, I ditched Yahoo! a very long time ago for AIM, even, and MSN outdoes both of them. It has incredibly smooth webcam streams, a good voicechat system, games, a drawing/writing ability, and it's simple and easy to customize.

get msn messenger because with msn, you can add all of your yahoo contacts! so if you get msn, it will be as if you have the two messengers.

I personally like yahoo better, of course, none of my friends use msn so I dont really use it anymore.
