Sidney Sheldon's Are you afraid of the dark?
Dan Brown's Deception Point, Angels And Demons.
Agatha Christie too writes well - go through her books.

I was just introduced to some books by Tess Gerritsen. I just finished Body Double. You may like her books cuz I like Sidney Sheldon as well.

George Grisham (reminds me on Sheldon)
And Agatha Christie is great.
Also, Erle Stanley Gardner, Maurice Leblanc and sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Earlier writers, I know, but still very good ones.

I've read only one book by each of the authors you have mentioned.... Dan Brown is good (I've heard that Angels and Demons by him is an excellent book)
I didn't like Sidney Sheldon much though, I read only one book by him, and it had a very anti-climax sort of ending.
'Fear Street' - big book - R.L. Steine is very good.... (I don't know if you'd call it thriller or horror, but it is very good... try it)
