A friend of mine just put something in my ear, I can't hear much out of that ear and it is kinda bleeding, I was wondering if I might be deaf for life out of that ear, or will it go away in the morning.

The object did not stay in the ear, and was not sharp.

My "friend" is e_barr, and she really did stick a glowstick in my ear. My ear drum is popped and my hearing will return in a coupla months. Thank you for your answers.

How about investing in new friends that won't stick things in your ear? And then maybe go to the doctor? Just a few thoughts.

Buy some new friends or stop sticking things in your own ear. Even if they itch. You probably scratched the inside of your ear with what ever you stuck in there. Watch it and see if the hearing improves and if not see a doctor in the morning a tell him the truth about what your "friend" did.

I think you ear will be fine but that friend of yours is a real jerk. Maybe you should poke them in the ear with a glow stick. That is what I would do if I were you but it is not like I have ever met you or as if I stuck some thing in you ear. Actually please do not stick a glow stick in your friend ear. i do not think they would really appreciate it. That is my advise I hope it is helpful.

Even not sharp, that object may have damaged your eardrum. I would have it checked out as it may get infected. A rule I was told, not to insert anything smaller than your little finger into your ear.

It doesnt take a sharp object to damage your hearing, even a Q-tip can do damage, I would definatly see a doctor immeditly, if its nothing, you have nothing to worry about, but if its punctured, you may be deaf in that ear for the rest of your life! so, at least see a doctor!

If your hearing is not back to normal by tomorrow, see a doctor to prevent further damage if there is any.
