I just got my divorce finalized. How should I celebrate?

BTW, this was amicable, and I am truly thankful that this is over. No malice or anger is left. I see this as a supremely positive thing that deserves a celebration. What say you?

Gosh, were to start?? Go for brokes and make a weekend of it! Do everything that you wanted to do when you were married but couldnt. Enjoy yourself and stop playing on the damn computer and get your fanny out there and have fun!! Hey its over its over, but if you both get back together for some weird reason you'll have gotten everything out of your system! No regrets, no worries , go have the fun you wanted to have!

Sorry, but celebrating divorces is tacky. Actually, it's worse than celebrating an early death. I don't suggest sackcloth and ashes, but acting as if the end of what was hoped to be a lifelong relationship, is cause for celebration, is odd. Just live. Enjoy your life as a single person. Good luck.

Chill out, lay low, if you start dating, play it cool, don't go "falling in love." There is no way of knowing if it is real. Just play the field for a long period and enjoy life. Glad is was amicable. Good luck

You shouldn't celebrate. Its not a happy thing, its the sad failure of a family and of two people to honor the vows they took. You should reflect on what went wrong, figure out what your part in this failure was and improve yourself and learn the lessons that need to be learned.

Under the circumstances....I don't know if "congratulations" is appropiate. Good luck! Consider this like opening a new chapter in a book. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

buy one BIG thing---new car, new house, new motorcycle.......it can be anything...it should be something that you have always wanted. You will go into debt but it is well worth it and you deserve it!!! Good luck to you in your single life.
This worked for me....I cant explain why.

I think that instead of trying to find someone else you should travel and do things that you never did before.
