Nothing about friends should make you feel like less of a person.
Friends don't do that, so if people are making you feel like that, then they're not true friends.

they are not your friends if they do so, and run away form them, make real friends. They must have self esteem issues and can only feel good about themselves by putting other people down. Also explore if maybe you just feel this way around them because you feel depressed in general or have a low self esteem. If so, buy some self-help books on how to get a healthier self-image.

If your friends are makigng you feel like less of a person then you need to dump them and make new friends. We all need eachother, in a sense, for support, encouragement and company. People whom think its better to bring you down, A. are not good friends at all, I know I had one who not only brought me down but daily gossiped about me lieing about me and trying to ruin my reputation. I finally said buh bye! Now I am blessed with amazing new friends and because of the choice to get rid of the old, I am happier then I have been in years! Be strong and KNOW who you are! I will be prayin for ya.

If you have friends that make you feel 'less of a person' you are not choosing the right friends.
Your emotional state is a primary part of being happy, you can't be happy if you feel inferior.

OK, so my friend says her life sucks, but she gets all the boys, has the attitude, has the money, and her family isnt screwed up. She says she wants to die, please....go figure. I'm not even going to get into my life story! Listen to this, at a friends summer party, (i'm kind of shy), i was hanging around with her since none of my friends were there. She ditched me and went with the crowd, then took this huge group of people with her to her house which was a couple houses down, didnt bring me, ignored me the whole time. Now I feel like I have no friends.
-Thanks for letting me get this out of my system.

That's actually a pretty good, deep question! There are times when I think that some of my friends have done so much more than I, and have amassed so much more knowledge and experience than I. But I simply have to look closer at the things that I have accomplished, and I will usually find that it is equitable, at the least. I think it sometimes depends on your mood, doesn't it?
