There is less room on a flat screen for the input to go. It took me a while to find mine. I suggest working under a strong light and getting a child to help. It worked for me!

i presume that you've got your old monitor on now,so as to send /read,if not , do so now, then go to the home site of your new monitor's makers, see what you require from their down load site, install it , and reinstall your new monitor and it should be ok

does the monitor have 2 inputs? do you have the proper input selected? can you see the menu? if you cannot see the menu when it is powered up, then its defective.
