I'm so sick and tired of seeing people have babies, not knowing how difficult it is to take care of one. Too many times I've seen teenageers having babies and expect their mothers to take care of them while they go out and party. Why not go to school, get married, THAN have a baby? I hate it when parents think that they can go to school when there is a little human that needs their attention. If you want to go college and party, than do it BEFORE you decide to have a family! Why can't people just wait?

Wow, what a major disappointment!!! People make mistakes, is that the best you can do? As long as its not happening to me, why should I worry about it? You are all as ignorant as these people who think that having a kid is like having a puppy; just play with it for a little while, and hopefully they will just go away.

And yes, most people I know that have kids leave all the grown-up responsibility to their parents...not all...but most.

Accidents happen? The condom does break? Fine, just don't have the rest of the country paying for your "accidents".

I'm not saying don't have sex, even though that is my preferred way of treatment, but if you going to do it...be responsible!!!!

I dont think that you are prepered for it unless you are trying to have a baby. See i was told i could not have kids so me and my hubby we did try for a long time with many let downs. But when we didnt i fell pregnant it was a surprise at the time but in due coures we prepared over the nine months we were over the moon when we saw our little girls face for the first time and now we are expecting our 2 in 7 weeks and we didnt know about this baby but as we did the last time we have aragend our life for our 2 little miricle and cant wait to see how this baby looks and as long as baby is healthy we are happy.I did have my baby young and it did not make me a bad mother i can see where you are coming from as i get juged all the time as i'm only 22 but i did school and have done the things in life that i wanted so when my little girl came along i devoted all my time love and care the only time my mother looked after my child is when i needed time out which is not a bad thing all mums need to have time for them selves my husband works full time we have our owen home and my kids have every thing they need love food a home and lots of family that care as well. Not all young mums are careless its the ones that have kids for money that get me hurt as it makes it look bad for mums like me who love and care for there kids just as much as any other mother in there late 20 to 30 i work but part time and have alwayed put my baby first she is my life and my life revolves around her.not the other way around.I hope that you can change your mind over time and see not all young mums are like that.

Maybe you don't realize that most teenage pregnancies are not planned and some even come from a rape situation. I have 2 wonderful children and I am only 22! I stay at home while my husband works. Yes we all know how hard it is but I would rather have my child than not have him. Stuff happens as long as it doesn't happen to you then leave it alone!!!

Just for everbodies info my husband and I are very well educated and love our children very much!! Our children are not mistakes or accidents. My kids are loved by everyone and they know that!!!! Just because you choose not to have sex or whatever your choices are doesn't mean you have the right to call other people stupid or poor!!!!

Yes, I'm sure a 17 year old girl decided one day, 'I want to have a baby, and then give it to my mother and live a care free life again!' You're a bit naive if you think this is how it works.

While I agree with you that i hate seeing children having children, that is the way of the world. They are either irresponsible and not have protected sex, or they have been raped, or they are trying to bring someone into the world who will love them unconditionally, without really thinking about the consequences. Most young people though, I am sure, do not plan on having children....duh.

What bothers me more is not so much children having children...mistakes happen and we must live with that. What bothers me is people on welfare having children. People with no money having children. I know a family who are having their second child but are so deeply in debt they cannot have this baby in the hospital.

Welcome to the world, honey. Stop worrying so much about what others are doing, understand one day your taxes will pay for their mistakes and try not to let it happen to you1

Most of the people you are describing are not planning on having a baby it is an accident. So many people want to be judgemental and say general statements like if you are not ready to have a family then don't have sex. Whatever ok that is like saying if you are not willing to die in a plane crash don't get on a plane. Everything involves some type of risk and yes having sex have all type of risk from getting a STD to criminal charges. But saying don't have sex until you are ready to have a family is not going to work. People are going to have sex it is natural and people are going to get pregnant unwantedly and its a part of life from the beginning of time.

It would be simpler to ask why people get into car accidents ...there is no simple answer to your question if there is even an answer. To be quite honest with you though I don't think that anyone is ever really PREPARED to have a child. I mean if you really think about it, really really think about it, no one is ever prepared to have a child but thousands upon thousands of people do everyday. As far as people waiting...if someone tells you, "You can't have this candy till you are educated and older!", the thing that consumes your every thought after that is getting that piece of candy because someone told you you couldn't have it.....the kids you are referring to aren't old enough to have a different rational and so they want to be grown up and have someone love them unconditionally and so they get knocked up and have a kid that they don't really want except to love them and cuddle with them. Stupid, but unless you can come up with a way to forcibly violate their rights, both as a person and possibly religiously, that is how its going to be, as much as I hate it.

thats like asking people to be sane and responsible
ain't gonna happen for those who have sex early on
and when the girl inevitable gets knocked up, she usally chooses to keep rather than to give up or terminate
the lower the education, the higher the chances of premartial sex / births, there is a direct correlation
also poverty and single family household factor in
the plain fact is if you live with a single mother and you are female
you are far more likely to drop out and get pregnant than a girl coming from a 2 parent household
