I regard Mahatma Gandhi as a good role model. I think that simply because of his conviction and integrity. he lived waht he believed and always experimented with his idea of truth. Whenever he found he was wrong or mistaken, he admitted it and corrected himself. Gandhi believed in the simple and austere life, in communal harmony, in the emancipation of the masses and women. Nobody is perfect, but Gandhi is a Mahatma (Great Spirit) because of his whole hearted advocacy of non violence and satyagraha (pursuit of truth) The world today needs more humans beings like him who consider development and non-violent settlement of issues as solutions to the world's hardships.

jennifer aniston. . she dealt with the most publicized breakup ever, with the whole world scrutinizing her every move, yet she did it with so much grace. anyone else in her situation would have cracked, but she's just going strong.
p.s. i heard her say on a talk show once, "i have no regrets- just experiences." i think that's such a great attitude! that she stays positive despite it all is really something i respect. .

Richard Nixon, because he was jilted by the Democrats and media of the time and knew when to quit. Nixon was a very paranoid man, like me. He also had very good relations with China.

Paul Newman.
He, and his lovely wife, have shown that hollywood couples can remain married and committed to one another. They are active when it comes to environmental concerns. He has that entire line of all natural foods. 100% of sales of his foods go to charity.
Plus, he is an awesome actor and still quite easy on the eyes. :)
