Jenny, please listen to all the others here on this Message board. Most of the time most of the answers are just smart answers. I don't know why this man has communicated with you, but most likely he has because he picked up during your chat or questions that you were lonely. Your life is not as you think it should be and you are an easy target for Older Men that prey on young lonely, sad, or depressed girls like yourself.
I know it is hard to imagine that someone would lead you on and tell you everything you like to hear, but it is not practical for you to even think that a loving relationship with an older man or let alone that it would would work. Even if he truly loves you, it would be a disaster waiting to happen. By the time you were out of high school or college he would be in his 50's. Let me tell you ... men after 45 start to go down hill medically rather fast campared to a young lively woman your age. I know I am 55 years old. I can not keep up with my 25 year old daughter as I use to.
Look it is even starting now. He is in his 40's or 50's and he has a life of his own. You are mad or confused because he is not chatting with you. It is good you have asked this question and you are most likely right. He is lying to you.
Any self righteous man in his 40's would never think of carrying on a relationship with a 16 year old young lady, like yourself. When a man is that old he understands exactly how the thinking of a lonely teenage girl is and how easily you can be manipulated to thinking that you love him. He has many more years of practice and has learn a lot more on how to do it so sweetly.
Look I know you will not talk to your mother, teenagers just don't do that. But you have some older female friend or friends that I know you do confide in from time to time. If not your mother.... then talk to your friends. Think about what you are doing and think with your head an not your heart. I know it is hard, so very hard... but really he has gotten you so confused. That is his plan. He is waiting for you to really miss him. He knows your heart is breaking and he will come back on line soon, and tell you anything to get you to want him more. Jenny, if you want this hurt and confusion to go away. Delete him from your email, don't talk to him and block him from your chat channels.
Be the adult you think you are and realize older men are not good for 16 year girls. Good Luck

If you are 16, don't mess with someone 42 years older than you. Find a nice young guy. If you only know him through the internet, you really aren't sure if he has told you the truth about anything.

Way too old for you. Run away as fast as you can. He's nothing but trouble. Do your parents know about this? The question you have to ask is "What's wrong with him that he isn't dating someone closer to his age" Maybe he's a loser? If you haven't met him in person-DON"T Don't let him know where you live or any other information. He could be very dangerous. People lie on the internet, so don't believe too much of what you're told. Be very careful ,please!.

Your kidding right? In most places that is called 20 to 30 without parole. Where is your parents? Wait... do you realise that when you are 30 he will be dead? Find someone your own age honey and turn that paedophile into the police before something happens to you that will haunt you the rest of your life, that is if he is not the kind of paedophile that kills girls when he gets done with them. He should thank God you are not my kid. They would never find enough of him to bury.

A man that age looking to meet teenagers on the Internet is up to no good. He's got a lifetime of experience on his side to make you think what he wants you to think. You could ruin your life by pursuing this relationship farther. Whatever you do, don't meet him. It is not safe.

Help yourself first – be honest with yourself and find someone your own age.
Dude sounds like a pedophile. Ask your mom and she will agree.
