shopping mall could be found in any of the big town or city in Malaysia, the same goes to hotels, of course city offer more choices from budget/backpack to even six star accommodation, as of tourist places, what are you actually after? historical places? cold mountain retreat? my all time fave is one utama which is in Petaling Jaya. I go almost every year to msia so I have a nice selection. Also, if your in KK Sabah, you ought to go to Center point and on the 2nd floor go visit my cousins shop called "White Box" and say your cousin from England told me to go here. Also go to Wisma Meredeka, go on 1st floor to my aunt's shop called "Wendy's boutique" and say her niece from England told me to come here. Both shops have pretty funky clothes. If you want a tourist place go to Melaka (or Malacca) You can get buses from KL to there. There are nice monuments and you can ride on this three wheeled bicycle witha cart to sit in on the back.
