All your hair grows at the same rate, but different will only grow to certain lengths before they fall out and get replaced by a new hair. The hair on your head and the hair on your arms might both grow 1/4 inch in one month, but the hair on your head typically wont fall out til it reaches your shoulders, mid back, butt, ankles, depending on your genetic "stop growth point". The hair on your arms and legs will fall out at the end of that month and a new hair will grow a 1/4 inch before it falls out (not all at the same time of course)

Do I look like it's more on my head than the rest of my body?
Also, beard hair can get as long as top of the head hair.
However, having said that, I think the answer is simply "because it is." :)

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.
A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt

Who says that heads have more hair? I have seen old men who are completely bald but look like a werewolf below the neck!

it is the place where we need it the most. along the way there had to be a mutation that made hair grow less on our legs. bc most of heat(90%) leaves thru our heads this small group survived and so on. I guess.
