I rarely see real lebians who look like the girls on the "girls gone wild" commericals or hollywood movies. Are real lebians getting a bad rep. and can the lesbians and gay life ever be taken seriously.

Those aren't real lesbians. Most of them won a wet t-shirt contest but were told they wouldn't get the award unless they did something for the camera or made out with the runner-up. If they say no, they lose and they talk to the runner-up.
Some are just drunk bar flies who will do anything for another shot.

You probably just don't recognize feminine lesbians as lesbians. There are lots.
Anything that desensitizes America about homosexuality is a good thing, including trivial hype like Girls Gone Wild. I'd also like to see more lesbians in commercials and movies, preferably in positive roles even if trivial or silly.

lesbians come in many many forms.
it depends on which country/ state you live in. There are plenty of lesbians who are incredibly sexy and who goes out with sexy girls (they are mainly found in big rich cities).
However just like heterosexual relationships, most lesbians are not as glamourous as the ones you saw on television/sporting events.
lesbianism/gaynism is the 'in' thing at the moment; people just want to explore their sexuality and or try its type of lifestyle. BUT you are right, they are getting a bad rep coz businesses just want to milk it for its monetary worth or they are people who just want the attention of being a lesbian/bisexuals. I know girls who are like that coz they think the boys would love it. At the same time guys do pretend to be gay so that they can pulled chicks (and yes it does work but some girls get really angry about it).

they dont affect lesbians.they are promoting lesbianism as someone that you might just get to bonk so they might be giving mixed messages to guys that no means maybe??
if i felt strongly about such shows as girls gone wild then i wouldnt have accepted the 2 discs of it that my male boss at work gave me.it just dissapoints me when you watch porn and know that they are just bored housewives who need extra cash
