thats just what everybody else keeps saying. But i do not dress like a goth. I dress like me. I do not wear make up. I just felt like painting my nails and i love the color black so that is the only color i wanted to put on. Does that make me a goth?

Goth is not a trend or a fashion statement. Its a lifestyle. You do what you want to do. Forget what others say, they obviously have no clue what goth is anyway....

Lol, no. I used to hate that in highschool. I once wore a plain black t-shirt and was asked "are you a satan worshipper?" No, quite the opposite, thanks. Dont worry about being stuck in a label. Some people try to be "non-conformists, but its funny, cuz they look just like all the other non-conformists. If you really want to be different, wear yellow boots, a feathered hat, and a suit. That would be interesting. But if you are just comfortable with the way you are, GOOD FOR YOU!!! There is nothing wrong with the color black, people are just label obessed. I love it when on southpark they made fun of goths "To be a non-conformist, you have to dress like us, and listen to the same music we do" LOL. Goth is a state of mind. Kids who like dressing a certain way, and tend to thrive off being depressed or melancholy. Whats so wrong with being happy? You can be happy AND wear black nail polish, so enjoy being YOU.

No, I'm 38 y.o. and a mom that works at the hospital. I love black nail polish and it looks awesome on long or short nails. I think Goth wear it on the pinky nails and if on all the nails it is a crappy looking paint job, all chipped and worn out. Black is very elegant and makes you seem bold and fashion smart. Who cares what everybody says, it 's just talk.

No, and not that it matters, but if you look in Cosmo and Glamour and all the "it" mags, they say that black is the new color for nails. Seriously! Besides, if black on your nails makes you smile, then black on your nails is what you should wear. You would have to dress in a lot more black to be considered goth.....wear what you want! It makes you "you"!

Do you listen to dark and depressing music?

Do you wear disturbing and barely there clothes?

Do you have a pasty complexion?

Are you a shut-in?

Do you shy from all social contact?

Have you recently tried to raise the Eternal Lord of Darkness through black magic?

If all of the above are yes, then yeah, you're a goth.

If you just paint your nails black, you're not goth. And personally, I find black nails hot.

No, painting your nails black does not make you a Goth. Black has been a very popular nail color this Summer. "Goth" is a mindset that then manifests itself in choices of clothing, nail color, hair color, etc.

No, being a goth requires more of a commitment to the group think than painting your nails black. Ignore those who cannot see past the "colour cues" to the individual that you are.
