Probally not...why would EVERYONE be 4ft...Are they oompa loompas?!?
JUST IF this was the case, then YES is your answer...to exactly 8ft & 3/4 inches...do the math.

Probably not unless someone had the ability to change the rules, the older generation, depending on there hieght might just disagree. If you have any recilection of the movie "The Apsent Minded Professor" they may, in the future have shoes that bounce, one thing they said in the movie is that in the rules of basketball theres nowhere in there that you cannot jump to high. If everyone of the future gen. was 4ft it would either be changed or posibly retired untill some people were to get taller. This is just my opinion and I thought I'd give you some insite on your question because it seemed interesting. P.S. As time progresses things change like for instance our cars we drive a lot has changed since then, the computers we have today just by the ability to make millions of circutry and the biggest thing in it, Silicone, what if we lost that or never would see it again, we would find another way to use something else or our technology could be lost for generations to come. I would believe that they just might keep them the same hieght but would make a game similar posibly a smaller size that the origonal they could call it Miniture Basketball and basketball would be retired untill a gen. was tall enough if you want to contact me, if you hated it or liked this heres my address dcauvel@verizon.net, sorry I took it so literal

No. I think if the rim started out at 11 feet when basketball was invented. The same amount of people would be able to dunk because their goal would be 11 feet not 10. 4 feet people can dunk they just dont now because they see 6' 7" people dunking and they think only tall people would be able to achieve that feat.

The League of Leaping Idiots is the Philippines national sport. They average 4ft tall and the baskets have not been lowered.

I would think so, but for now I think the rim should be at 11 feet.
