Im not trying to be mean but you can barely see the tattoos

It's for the same purpose as anyone else. People get tattos because it means something to them, not to show off to the rest of the world.

well that may be a good thing...they blend in nicely if you just have black ink...verses a white person well a really white person with tattoos with lots of really bright colors...well doesnt it honestly look pretty bad...?? it does...also depending on how many they have...

They can see it themselves and maybe they don't care if it's noticeable to others. It's kind of like wearing nice underwear even if no one else will see it.

True.... but it makes them feel good to know that they are able to appreciate the artwork still, i guess....

Maybe they are/were members of a group that required them. I know there are gangs and fraternities that require them.
