I don't think I could eat raw uncooked human flesh, but if I could cook it and put some barbeque sauce on them or turn the meat into jerky yes of course I would eat it to keep myself alive and if I am dead by all means chew on a peice of me if it will keep you alive

When I die I don't care what happens to my body. However, I believe I would need a good deal of tenderising before I could be eaten. I would recommend a nice unwooded chardonnay as the accompanying wine - goes nicely with white meat.
If I am ever in the situation where chowing down on a fellow human being is the only way to survive then I think I would.
The mindset would be completely different so I agree with the people who've said they wouldn't know til they were in that position. It would be all about survival and I think ethical concerns aren't an issue at that stage.

Shane, I think that is a most difficult question to answer with any truthfulness, as most people will not be & have not been, placed in a situation where there life is at risk due to starvation.
I remember reading once of a man who did eat dead human flesh to stay alive after his food supply ran out because he was with others who where stranded in the mountainous regions in South America after there plane crashed. He was condemed by people who had no been in that situation themselves. A mistake I think to do so.
If ever you are in that situation yourself, then the answer will present itself to you very forcefully indeed. I hope you never are placed into that situation yourself.

eating a dead human seems unethical now. However necessity is the mother of invention. Ethics would be reinvented at that time and the answer would be YES, NO.

Of course! As would most people. Even the people whom think that they would not as you do not have any clue what you would do in such a situation because your mind and body seperats and your body takes over to do what it has to do to survive. Would I want to. Absolutely not! But would I? Probably.

oh yes I would. Grilled, flambed, spit rosted or medium rare?
Actually, whilst being the absolute last taboo, I think instincs to survive take over and if necessary I would do it. Similarly, once you are dead and someone else is faced with the same dilemma, if I provided someone with nourishment until they were rescued, then so be it..............................

i'd like to think i'd eat a person before i'd eat an animal, in a survival situation, but i probably wouldn't, 'cause i'm WEAK! so much for twenty years of vegetarianism (and two of veganism), and, perhaps, somewhat fewer years of misanthropy.

That is one of those situations where you really don't know what you would do until you were actually in it. I say no now but if it came down to it all I can say is you've got to do what you've got to do to survive.
Edit: J get out of my head..lol
