Actually, an believe it or not, the world is actually better than it has ever benn in the past..., but it looks worse simply because you get it ALL together and around the world on TV....
This can make you sick actually...
To some people, kiling is a simple natural act... That is what is shown on TV and youth is brought up with TV, WAR, ATTACKS, and END OF THE WORLD comming soon... How can anyone live a simple NORMAL life with all this INPUT?
Just try and remember that not so many years ago the whole world was at WAR... and then after some HOPE war CREATED with the CREATION of the UNITED NATIONS...so no world war would ever happen again...
Mass murder (a war) is the worse senario possible...
Single murders are usually rare, but when put all together in an hour TV news show it seems like a lot...
Crime always existed... since Cain killed his own brother...
But if you look around, a lot of good people still exist too...
In America, flowers are growing, birds are signing, and there is plenty of water, food, medication, doctors, etc...
Other countries are struggleling to have water, or simply a one meal a day regime... Why don't these people kill each other to get an extra share? They simply don't....
That actually could be an interesting social study to do...
But if you WANT to be happy at all, close the news broadcast...
There were news as well in 1920's... and reading them never changed any events...
Better simply live your life as best and as happy as you can and
let go of all the surounding events that can only bring you down...
Remember, you have to become like a child again, it was said...
That means also, not being AWARE of all the possible BAD things of life....
Be happy and let the world events go...
Being aware of it all never made anyone happy anyways...
If you NEED to be aware, someone will tell you soon enough...
Hope this helps....

there is nothing wrong with this world it is the world that we created. It is the world that GOD knew we would create from the beginning of time. We are just fulfilling his words. I don't know a lot about the Bible but I'm sure it tells you how to find the good in this earth and in everyone on this earth. So stop looking at the bad and start looking for the good in people. And yes you will have to look somewhere other than the news to find the good side of people!!!!!!!!!!!

You are watching too much television and reading the front pages of too many newspapers !
The media distorts our reality by focuing our attention on what they feel is important information. The truth is that, what CNN or ABC or CBS considers to be important news is not really important news.
If CNN was interested in "important news" the first 10 minutes of every broadcast would be stories about how we are destroying the earth's environment. Environmental issues are life or death problems facing not just people but the entire species!
So the next time you catch yourself despairing about what you see on CNN, pick up the phone, call them, and tell them the truth about what you feel is important !
Never be deceived again about what is really going on in the world!

Quit crying and start fixing. If you see a problem, go help. Whining wont fix the problems. Try asking yourself whats right with this world and I bet you will be amazed at what you can come up with.Distance yourself from places with high murder and crime rates and plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.Face the world with your eyes ahead and your chin up, with the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child and maybe you can find a way to be happy.

Yes, there is bad but also good, for if not, God would have ended this world a long time ago. Think for an instance, though it is hard, that for every death, there is a birth and for every murder, someone is getting married, celebrating a birthday, whatever. Try and think this way as it is the only way I can go on with the hard times we face. God bless you and yours.

I believe you're right. I doubt that any of us have that much time left. In a few more years, terrorists will have nukes and they won't hesitate for one second to use them. I don't see any way of stopping it. It is just too wide spread. Hope I haven't scared you too much, but reality is reality.

We are predators, plain and simple. It is in our genetic makeup to hurt, maim and kill our own kind. It's an unfortunate fact of life, that we aren't really that far separated from our ancestors.
