Just be yourself, if they dont cater to you then you dont deserve to be friends with them anyway.

first don't try to impress them just be your self look nice and be clean. girls hate guys that stink and look like bums. don't lollygag all over and don't be to one wwho has to talk all the time shut up and listen to what they have to say. and don't brag on your self just tell them how nice thay look and flatter them.you can tell that i'm old hell i minute ago i saw a letter that said you are old at 40 well that putes me in a rest home cause 67 and a fire ball you will find out anly to soon that 40 is not old at allyou have just growen up.i still do all my own jobs around the house in my mind i'm only 40

If you're trying to impress girls, it sounds like you want them to be more than friends. If you just talk to people, regardless of gender, they will open up and become your friends. But keep in mind that noone likes a cheater, so don't keep more than one girlfriend at a time.

ya ask neha ....she'll know it best as ...i think she's from india too...
But my point is
shri we are in india .....dont compare with the situations outside our country, their culture is different.
most people dont have gf at all here......so dont worry.....you can be proud of having friends no matter what the gender is.....
just talk to them....ya dont propose too soon many indians do that and then get sad due to rejection.

Sure just friends?, well, I would say .... be nice, show girls that you are interested in their friendship, girls are very clever on noticing this kind of stuff, always listen and be very and very attend to needs, and their lives in general.
