First of all, I know it's possible to get pregnant at ANY time of the month. I'm not a dumb kid. I have been pregnant before and know how things work.

Here's my situation:
I have normal periods and cycles every month. My last period started August 13th and lasted until August 17th. I usually start cramping a few days before my period starts and my breasts are usually swollen and sore around the same time. However, I didn't start cramping and having soreness in my breasts until my period started on the 13th. We had unprotected sex on August 14 (2nd day of period) and on August 18 (day after end of period).

My breasts are still sore today and a little swollen and I am having some light cramps (kind of like PMS cramps). My period was normal and heavy as usual, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. I am just wondering why I would still be having cramps and soreness in my breasts. What is the possibility that I could be pregnant given the dates that we had sex? Explain.

I took a pregnancy test tonight (first response) because I thought I might have already been pregnant before my period, and that it might just be one of those cases where you have your period when you are pregnant.

The chances of you being pregnant are slim to none. Your body has not had time to ovulate again.

If you are pregnant, then you got pregnant before you had your period on the 13th. Was your last period normal and on time? Did you have sex 2 weeks before your period (unprotected or not). Condoms are only 85% against pregnancy!

Do you have a 28 day cycle or is it different?

I don't think your pregnant, unless it happened 2 weeks before your last stated period. Some women can still have a period while pregnant.

You may want to go see your doctor, just in case.

From you LMP: 08-13-06
You would have to concieve on: 08-27-06 (today)
And your due date would be: 05-20-07
Today you would be 2 weeks, 0 days (not actually pregnant, because you would have to concieve today)

Pregnancy is calculated from your LMP, which adds 2 weeks to the actual fetal age.

Ususally you produce an egg ready for fertilizatin in the middle of your cycle. By the time you have your period the egg is not viable and is ready to be swept out of your uterus by your menstral flow. The purpose of your menstrul flow is to clean the uterus.

As we go through life our hormone out put changes. Many things can cause our hormones to change beside our ages, stress, diet, illness etc. Given how our bodies work the odds are you are not pregnant and the soreness etc is just a hormonial fluctuation.

BUT we all know that often the odds do not work in relation to the female body. It is possible to produce more than one egg in a month and at different times in you cycle.

Your very, very best bet is to get one of the over the counter tests and find out for sure.

By the way it is also possible for we women to have false pregnancy symptoms, sore breast and all, particularly when our biological time clocks are going off. Take care that you don't get pregnant!

It is not possible to get pregnant on Aug.14 because during period there is no possibility of getting pregnant. But since you had sex on the day after the last day of period, it is very possible. If you dont't want to get pregnant, don't have unprotected sex till the 25th day from the first day of period. Anything may be changed to your body anytime.

Well you sound young and if you say you have been pregnant before are you allergic to condoms? sometime when you have sex before or even during your period your body still may go through the changes you just might be experiencing late PMS symptoms. you should take the time and get to know your body a little better before you continue abusing it by going raw.
