Why are all casting people female?

I've noticed that in all the TV show and movie credits I've seen, the casting agent is ALWAYS a woman. It really stands out. Are there just a few, very powerful people in the casting biz and they just happen to be femmes, or is there something I'm missing?

makes it harder to sleep with them to get the part
not impossible but difficult

because all men would be looking for is big boobs and a nice ***. women actually see more then that
