I AM TALKING ABOUT THE PLANET PLUTO.

It all has to do with the way scientists understand now the creation of the solar system that they didn't know 76 years ago when Pluto was discovered, and with the late finding of celestial bodies that are similar to Pluto.
The present theory differentiate between planets and celestial bodies from the Oort cloud, the last were considered to be comets and comet like bodies that make the Oort cloud, which is the edge of the solar system. the finding of many Pluto size bodies in the Oort cloud helped explain the peculiar behavior of Pluto's orbit and the decision by astronomers to define these planet size "comets" as "Dwarf planets" caused the change in the status of Pluto.

According to the new definition of planet, a planet should have its own orbit around the star and should have enough mass and gravity
Pluto intersects Neptune's orbit as also there is black hole near pluto which forbids pluto to have its own gravity and sucks all the things in the atmosphere

I know that is crazy! All through school I was taught Pluto was the farthest planet from the sun also the smallest, and know they go on to say its not really a planet, its just a "nano-planet" thats a bunch of BS. There are a lot of school books that will need to be rewritten.

Probably the same thing that happened to the Disney Pluto... just not popular enough...so now it is a dwarf planet.... because they changed the rules (I hate it when the rules change after the game has started).

PLuto has been left out from the Solar system because it has very little gravitational force and its its orbit is too long
It also couldn't fulfil the conditions for being called a planet -
1. The object must be in orbit around a star, but not be a star itself.
2. The object must be massive enough to be a sphere by its own gravitational force.
3. It must have cleared the neighborhood around its orbit.
Pluto fails to meet these conditions ( primarly, condition 3 ) but will act as a prototype for a yet to be named category of Trans-Neptunian objects.

Pluto along with XENA, CHARON, and CERES have been all reclassified as DWARF PLANETS. So there are officially 8 planets, and 4 dwarf planets in out solar system.

I know you're not talking about mickey's dog.
The association of astronomers decided that there were so many other bodies the same size or bigger,
like 40, in the solar system, rather than make them all planets, they would demote Pluto, a gaint freezing rock.
