I find it interesting that you would be willing to create a natural disaster that could kill hundreds and cause millions of dollars worth of damage just to push a shallow political agenda. THIS is the reason why so many people do not vote democrat.

It will be a minor factor, but would take several huge calamities to make it a factor in the election that diebold couldn't cover up.

Oh, and to the Gore people, Art Bell has been leading the charge on this long before Gore, and sold more of his books, and the film "The Day After Tomorrow" outperformed Gore's movie at the box office by several orders of magnitude.

I guess Whitely Strieber would be Art's VP, and he could show us his scars from alien probes, instead of those mundane heart attack scars other VPs have shown us.

Addendum: GORE CAN'T WIN. Eeyore is more chipper and engaging than Al Gore.

Addendum2: I really am not Patriot, but we go to some of the same information sites. I would remind him that Paul McCartney played a concert in Red Square, and it was going to rain, and the handlers said don't worry about it, we will take care of it, and it didn't rain. Also, Chinese have guaranteed perfect weather for the olympics.

Global warming may very well be an issue in the next presidential election especially if Al Gore runs.

The Chinese and Russians are quite accomplished at weather modification.

If they wanted a change in the White House, and understood the timing of the election cycle, they could arrange for some storms.

But the real factor will be how the event would be "spinned".

The incompetence after Kartrinia will be many times more important. Don't think either major party will make Global Warming an issue.

It should be whether there is another big storm or not. Global warming is a serious issue and needs to be addressed asap.

Oh yeah Al Gore the inventor of the internet and the Oracle of weathermen everywhere.

Can we make it rain? or stop the rain? create a windstorm? Nooooo. There are colder winters, hotter summers or whatever else you want to report but none of it is all that effected by us. Climate follows long term trends. Who caused the previous ice ages after all?

Since Gore will be running it will be a factor regardless of a storm.

No. Not if you mean 2006 or 2007 anyway. Americans don't remember big winds that long. Maybe if it happened in late 2008...
