If he was respectful of Christians & other religions, & I agreed with the other issues, yes.
The aethiests I've often seen on this site (those who refer to all christians as brainwashed, mindless sheep, insane, etc.) are the kinds I would NEVER vote for.

Unfortunately NO! I would always hope to vote for the best qualified candidate, but an Atheist is worse that almost anything else.
Some of the world's most famous Atheist politicians have been:
Karl Marx
Vladimir Lenin
Leon Trotsky
Benito Mussolini
Adolph Hitler
Joseph Stalin
Leonid Breshnev
Mao Tse Tung
Pol Pot
Idi Amin
Saddam Hussein
Slobodan Milosovich
Yeah, I know religious guys can be arseholes too, but THESE Atheist bastards killed over 100,000,000 in just one century, do ya think we actually NEED any more of that...........

I would obey the Constitution, which says that no religious test shall be required as condition of holding public office. I would not use anyone's religion for or against them when thinking about who I would want to vote for (if I were going to vote, which I'm not going to do any more, but that's another story).

yes, politics should be separate from religion (you know, as it is in the constitution). the better candidate should win, regardless of his or her religious views.
you are not voting on a church leader, you are voting on someone to lead an entire country, filled with different views and ideas. how can people expect the government to be fair and impartial if it always composed of the same types of people.
our government should be as diverse as our country!

I think a leader with no imaginary friends seems pretty mature, but that's just one factor... you have to look into if they have the best interests of us all in mind; but that never happens anyway, does it?

Their religious beliefs would have nothing to do with their qualifications.
And the Constitution (Article VI) prohibits religious oaths as a condition of office.

Yes, I can separate politics from religion. I don't care what religion a person is if their political views can improve the situation on the agenda.

Yes I would. One of the problems with Bush is that he is trying to Spiritualize America.
