Anyone know any? I'm kinda looking for someone that does stuff similar to the rooftop solo in the movie "The Crow" or the intro to Sorrow by Pink Floyd. That kinda tone. Maybe something new age? Anyone know anything fitting this bill?

Check out a NYC guitar player Gary Lucas. He played with Captain Beefheart and has some avant-garde stuff.

You might try Eric Johnson. He is more of a blues/jazz mix.
Steve Vai or Joe Satriani, some of their stuff.
Al DiMeola, another jazz player.

Lots of samples to listen to. You might find something there.

all i can think of is Slipknot, Megadeth, Slayer, and Metallica, but thats not like Pink Floyd... sorry though!

Pink Floyd is a old band...lol not a new age. all i think is BLS, COF, Dimmu Borgir,............ huh there is no new metal band who is awesome.
