okay, i have this friend, and well she is kinda clingy to me to start of with but... she was talking to my parents about me behind my back. and when i actually went to the movies... she told them that i was at my boyfriends house, which i wasnt. i got in huge trouble and was almost forced to quit my field hockey team and break up with him. and people i guess were also talking about me behind my back and well she just kinda sat there and listened and did nothing about it. i am really confused and i dont know what to do... should i be able to trust her again???

Well, personally I think friends should stick up for their friends and not make up lie about them, even if it was a mistake. If it was a mistake then she should tell you parents right away. I am sure you have a best friend that you are probably talking to on I don't know, say AIM right now. If this is the case, then that its awesome :). Also, trust is a hard thing to get back. If you lose your trust in someone there is no definate way to be sure you have it back. But I'm just some stranger, so I don't know for sure. Good Luck!

Sit down with her one of these nights and come right out and ask her what it was that got her angry at you. Was it because you went to the movies with someone other than her?

If your "friend" can not or will not answer you with a simple reason then you need to find someone else to pal with.

In the future waite a few months before leting a perosn into your private life.

No way this sounds like the kind of person who thrives on attention and manipulation. She will be glad to step on you on her way to the top even as she sits back and smiles in you face. You should watch an old movie All about Eve you friend sounds just like this type.

your friend is just jelous of your life. You have a lot going for yourself and she wants you to have the same boring life as hers. Let me guess, she boring, gossips a lot, has a bad outlook on life, blames others for her mistakes, can never admit when she is wrong. Dump her to the curve and get a better friend.

I think she may be jealous, and she becomes possive of you. If she's getting you in trouble and keeping quite while people are saying unkind things about you, I believe this makes her feel better about herself. Be careful and stay safe.

Sounds like this girl isnt a very good friend. What did she want to accomplish by telling your parents that. Maybe you should see what her motives were.

In this situation, she can never be trusted anymore. Think bout that. She got you in such a big trouble.

Ask her what's going on? How is it that everyone's talking about you? Have you changed? You're not giving us all the information and we certainly aren't hearing the other people's views on this.
