It's called equal opportunity - equal rights
If you are Black, White or what ever, you can be proud, but you have to understand the history of the USA and why some people feel the way you say they do.

I think, mostly, blacks like to say they are proud their ancestors came from Africa. It's harder for whites to point out exactly where they are from.
A lot of people will cheer on black pride and then say only whites are racist. I disagree. I don't think skin colour really matters, but what's wrong with being proud of your heritage? I'm damn proud I'm Irish. So what if I'm wicked pale? I have a friend who's very proud his parents came over from Ethiopia, and he's mahogany black. Good for him and his heritage!
It shouldn't be a race issue at all, rather a heritage matter.

Black people are simply trying to get over the affects and effects of slavery and prejudice and accept themselves as being worthy and equal.
The only white men who ever feel the need to rant about "white pride" are the KKK, Arian nation types and it's not the same when black people talk about "being proud" because you are a black person.
I'm sure you don't really care for my answer because you only asked the question as another attempt to show your racism.
ALL People need to get over this race/skin color phobia thing. It's so lame and ignorant on both the black and white side. There are as many white ****-ers as there are black ones. By the same token (no pun intended), there are as many successful, educated and kind hearted black people as there are white.
Now why don't you be a real man, apologize for your ignorant statement and move on with your life.

This is a very good question. I think white people are made to feel ashamed of their heritage because of things our ansestors did many years ago. We may not feel that way now, but are told we are bad because of it. I am proud of who I am, but also let others of any race be proud of who they are.

its one thing for a black man to say im proud to be an african american(which i am) but its another for me to say "im superior, my race is the ****, or im smarter"
anyone can be proud of their race. just dont blab about it to much in my opinion or you will be considered a racist(goes for any race). you should be proud to be what ever race you are. thats that. but dont say somthing to a black man and expect them not to think about slavery,30's-50's and such because chances are they will. thats what the issue is there leading them to reflect on the **** thats happened in the past.

To be proud of ones own race and culture does not mean that you disrespect others for theirs. It is only the ignorant fools who regard respect for their own origins as meaning they are superior to others who become the racists - and they exist in every ethnic group I regret to say.

That's precisely the reality of the situation. Reverse discrimination. That's why the black man is a racist and a bigot too.
