Binary Star sysytem is a system of two stars that rotate around a common center called barycenter.
if our sun had a binary system, there will be two stars in the solar system and that will have agreater gravitational pukk which can easily suck up the bodies that orbit them.

A binary star is a stellar system consisting of two stars orbiting around their center of mass. For each star, the other is its companion star. Recent research suggests that a large percentage of stars are part of systems with at least two stars. Binary star systems are very important in astrophysics, because observing their mutual orbits allows their mass to be determined. The masses of many single stars can then be determined by extrapolations made from the observation of binaries.

A binary star system is what we call a star system with either two stars orbiting around each other, as the center of the system. Or, a system where the star's position at the center shifts periodically due to what is presumably a gravitational field.

Imagine yourself and another person as a star, a bit like when you're holding hands with him and you're spinning him around. Except that for the second definition, you might not be a star, but a gravitational well like, for example, a black hole.

Hi. You have some good answers. Most binary stars orbit too close together to see each star. They discover and examine them using spectral emission lines. The lines are split when two stars, both emitting these lines, are positioned so one is approaching Earth and one is receding during part of their orbits. Had Jupiter been about 80 times it's actual mass it might have become a brown dwarf.
