okra need more heat than water, they grew best in 100 degree weather, let the ground dry out between watering's.

Okra is indeed a lover of heat and dry weather. That's the area of our garden I do not normally water at all, and we're having some dang dry summers. I think ours has had maybe a total of an inch and a half all summer, up to 2 weeks ago, and it's been blooming and producing like gangbusters since July.

5 cups a day. spread out evenly over a span of 3 hours between each cup and then just that long period of time till you start again. too much water = a drowned okra which is a :( (frowning) okra... too littel = a dry okra... and 5 cups= a happy okra

I under no circumstances ate okra till I moved to the southern states. i does no longer touch boiled okra, too slimy, yet i like it breaded and fried. i does no longer upload it to a vegetable soup yet while somebody else makes it, i'm nice with that.
