I have never heard of drinking parsley tea to help move along labor. I have heard drinking GREEN TEA will help. Many of my friend have tried that remedy and it has work for them.

I agree with the many suggestions to try raspberry leaf tea...it's easy to find, pleasant tasting, and won't affect your milk. I took it in the last week in both my pregnancies, and it seemed to help things along--but gently. Another tried and true method is mild nipple stimulation--it actually will cause your uterus to contract a bit. Be careful, though...it is possible to cause strong contractions in some cases, and that can actually be harmful to your baby. The safest bet is to discuss your chosen method with your doctor or midwife first. Good luck to you and your new little life!

If you are at 40 weeks.........forget the parsley tea...you need to be induced! You might try Jasmine tea and some gentle intercourse.

It seems parsley tea is sometimes used as a natural way to to induce miscarriages.

Pregnancy Tea supports healthy pregnancy by combining herbs used for thousands of years by women in Europe and North America to tone uterine muscles, provide nourishment, and prepare the womb for childbirth. Pregnancy Tea is based on a synergestic combination of raspberry leaf, strawberry leaf and nettle leaf to be taken throughout pregnancy in preparation for labor and also for a few weeks postpartum. Women of the Cherokee Nation traditionally drank raspberry leaf tea to ease labor and today the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia (1996) indicates its action as a partus preparator. Strawberry and nettle are both traditionally considered to be blood building tonic herbs and they provide essential micronutrients beneficial to uterine heath. Contents: Raspberry leaf, strawberry leaf, spearmint leaf, nettle leaf, organic rose hip, sweet fennel seed, organic alfalfa leaf, lemon verbana leaf.

I've heard parsley can affect your milk supply, but please don't quote me, I went a week over with my second pregnancy and tried every wives tale and trick I had heard. Nothing worked in the end I just had to be patient. Ask your Doctor if it really bugs you.
Oh and Goodluck I hope all goes well. Welcome to Baby!!

I have never heard anything about helping with labor by drinking tea. but I do learn something new each and every day. but one thing I do know that will help... exercise.. do the kegals .. that helped me. my girls came on time.. but that also helps the baby to come and and easy delivery. also do alot of walking. moving around helps out alot.. my sister tried caster oil but she didnt have any luck with that but put her into a lot of pain. others have did the step things and that didnt seem to help. another sister was 2 1/2 weeks over due and finally the dr took her in and tried to induce labor but that didnt help but put her in misery.. they decided to do a c-section after so many hours of trying to induce labor. when they baby came they discovered that the reason that boy didnt want to come out was because he was to big to pass thru the birthing canal. so keep that in mind. you may try alot of things and your child may not come it may be that he/she isnt ready to come yet or he/she may be to big to pass thru.

You should avoid herbs like celery, parsley and sage during pregnancy as well as latter on when breastfeeding as it may reduce milk supply.
