It's a history in the World War.
Towards the end of World War 2.
Rememeber the date is

6th August 1945

Although, to be specific, the bomb was exploded about a hundred feet *over* the city for maximum effect. It wasn't dropped "on" Hiroshima.

August 9 was the date of the Nagasaki bombing.
