Have the xtians and Atheists chased us all away? I haven't been to Answers for awhile, because I got bored with the ignorance and stupidity. I came back, and noticed all the Pagan related questions are here instead of R&S.

Right, David, but why here? We have as much right to be in R&S as anyone else. I know most of us are peaceful and don't like to fight, but we should allow ourselves to be pushed around by a few bigots either.

Well I believe that if the United States Military has made Paganism and Wicca a religion in which they have to provide our military with access to our religious beliefs and practices. So I therefore think we belong in the R&S group with out having our heads beaten in by the bible thumpers who are to ignorant to even study it. They do not want us in there because if the possability of us being right is there then they have to think about the possability that they are wrong. And knowbody likes to be wrong.
On that note I would like to know where exactly in the bible it states that we worship satan, and who said that is what we do....If they only walked a day in our footsteps and felt the peace and joy we get just from a breath of hair we take or the wind that blows on our face.
Blessed Be

I stopped looking in the religion and spirituality section because I felt that some of the askers/answerers were far to over the top in their criticism of other religions or non-religions. I started looking in this section because I noticed that it seemed that there were not only more Pagans here but rational people in general and there were some fun questions too about cryptozoology and other things that interest me.
I believe you are right that we have been chased away or some of just didn't want to be bothered with the nonsense and culture of mean spiritedness in the other section. I feel a bit bad that I come to read questions about my religion in the MYTHOLOGY section...because it is far from a myth. That makes me sad...but at the end of the day I want to be able to relax and enjoy reading the questions.

A funny thing happens with xians on the internet anyway, they act so put out that nobody believes like they do and are constantly using every dirty trick in the book to get rid of other religions, er faiths to keep them from posting, yet when we quit, so do they. They don't ever come back either. We are their counter-point, their reason for argument and while we can conjecture forever about everything, they are limited by whats written in their books. Yes, books, because they have thousands of researchers. So if you would keep baiting them they have no choice but to acceed that God loves everyone who shows a respect of life, which belies their assertation that the hero teaches only their rote beliefs. Once they reach this point will they change? Its either that or shut up, which seems to be the course. So take heart, their single mindedness is curable.

Today there have been more Pagan related questions here. I actually find this board a bit more friendly. There aren't as many trolls, and zealots.
You are right, Pagans, have as much right to be in Religion and Spirituality as anyone else. I don't think anyone was ran off, I think people were just looking for sensible answers and today this fit the bill.

The understood but so far unwritten reason for distrusting "pagan", "wiccan" and other "alternative from main stream" beliefs....
If they ever "catch on"...there goes all those vacation days and sales events. That would be worse than Atheistic or Agnostic...that would make the separation of church and state come to grips with the "holiday" season
Unless you can substitute an appropriate number of strategically placed holidays of your own....

I think I like the mythology and folklore crowd better anyway... As long as the academics don't get too territorial we can actually discuss something more interesting than the "intro-to-paganism 101" sort of questions.

This is where many pagans came to to help people understand their religion and the falsehoods the Christian Church has spread about us and our ways.

if it is, then that is really sad, since paganism is just as much a religion as christianity and atheism
